Meal Time Supervisor

Start Date: As soon as possible  - this is a rolling advert and will be live until we appoint.

Pay Range: Level 1 Grade A  (£25,854 pro-rata)

Contract: Permanent. 

Hours: Daily 11.45-1.15 which is  7 ½ hrs a week.  Term time only

Our Meal Time Supervisors are very important members of our team providing care and supervision across the lunch period.  The role is spent largely outdoors and your ability to be able to talk, listen and engage with our children is a priority in this role. 

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Who really enjoys interacting with children aged 5-11yrs old 
  • Who can listen to children and help them develop their friendships  
  • Who understands about healthy eating and who can encourage children to eat well
  • Who can implement the clear boundaries set within our behaviour policies
  • Who can provide first aid for and safeguard our children

Term time only: 40 weeks (includes one week in summer holiday for preparation) 32.5 hrs/ week: 6.5 hrs a day / 5 days a week

Ensuring that children are seen, known and safe is one of our core principles and aims.  Central to the success of this aim is the role of our Federation Pastoral (Welfare) officer.   

This role encompasses all aspects of medical, attendance, safeguarding and pastoral care across our federation of 2 adjoined schools.  The postholder is a member of the pastoral team, in addition to providing additional administrative and class based support.

  • Has extensive successful medical  and/ or experience working in a pastoral or welfare (ideally) school environment.
