Remote Education
At Moss Hall Schools Federation we are committed to ensuring that every child has access to high-quality education, regardless of whether they are learning at school or remotely. In line with the Department for Education (DfE) guidance, we have endeavoured to develop a remote learning provision that is aligned with our in-school curriculum.
Our remote learning strategy includes:
- A structured curriculum: Remote learning will follow a similar timetable to the school day with the structure of lessons taking our usual approach. There will be a focus on core subjects, and we aim for all learning materials to be accessible to pupils, with appropriate support where needed.
- Regular live or pre-recorded sessions: There will be regular live lessons or pre-recorded videos, ensuring that pupils can continue to engage with learning. This may include a combination of video lessons, interactive activities, and assignments.
- Quality feedback: Teachers will give timely, meaningful feedback in accordance with our feedback policy, ensuring that pupils are supported in their learning journey and can make progress.
- Access to technology: For families who require support with devices or internet access, we will work to provide solutions where possible .Acceptable Use Agreements will be in place where school-owned devices are distributed.
- Support for well-being: We understand that remote learning can be challenging, and we are committed to supporting the well-being of all our pupils. Pastoral care and guidance will be provided through virtual check-ins, communication with staff, and access to appropriate resources.
Our remote learning provision will be continuously reviewed to ensure it meets the needs of all pupils. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of education, whether pupils are learning at home or in school.
Moss Hall will continue to adapt and improve its approach, keeping in line with any further government guidance and advice.
